Aug 25, 2017
Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital has officially launched its new, state of the art therapy spaces.
Ramsay Australia’s Chief Operating Officer Kate Munnings and Cr Michelle Kleinert attended the official launch on Tuesday the 22nd of August.
The new therapy space development boasts the creation of a 138 m2 inpatient gymnasium, newly equipped day rehabilitation service area and occupational therapy workshop. New reception areas, consulting rooms and staff facilities were included in the renovation. Rehabilitation services at Donvale have also received a boost through the introduction of a range of new equipment and resources.
Donvale CEO Jenny Haig welcomed the developments. “Donvale celebrates 25 years of providing the highest quality, dedicated rehabilitation services to our local community this year. The opening of these spacious, purpose built therapy areas introduces a new, exciting stage for us, enhancing the comprehensive nature of the services.”
Increased space for patients and staff alike have allowed for the relocation of outpatient therapies to the same floor, galvanising services that staff believe will allow an even more integrated patient experience.
This growth has also opened the door for an expansion in service delivery, with the potential to ease waiting lists for Donvale day patients, and enabling the most timely access to a wide array of therapies to assist in their rehabilitation needs.
Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital is a 90 bed private facility; offering rehabilitation services to recovering patients in the Melbourne metropolitan area.
