Staff and doctors at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital were delighted and proud with the recent announcement of results following an Accreditation survey conducted by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) in May 2017.
Every 3 years the rehabilitation facility is assessed by independent reviewers, whose role is to measure the quality of care, processes, procedures, against the National Standards and to make recommendations if required.
The hospital was able to demonstrate that it has a strong consumer focus, effective leadership, continuous improvement, evidence of outcomes and it is striving for best practice.
Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital has been deemed to exceed the standard across numerous criteria- in record fashion with 47 Met with Merit ratings (the highest possible rank) - and with no recommendations.
Donvale CEO Jenny Haig was delighted with the outcome, stating “This record achievement is a testimony to the passion and expertise that the experienced team at Donvale provide in the rehabilitation specialty, ably facilitated by Caroline Andrew, DCS and Carol Lerk, Director of Allied Health, Donvale’s Quality Managers”.
Donvale Rehabilitation will continue its quality program in 2018, continuing to focus on initiatives to enhance patient care.
